Accessibility Statement

We develop the website toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA. We do not claim formal conformance. Testing before each release consists of automated checks (syntax, labels, duplicate IDs, ARIA references) and keyboard walkthroughs in Chromium; screen-reader testing with VoiceOver, NVDA, JAWS, or TalkBack has not yet been carried out by an outside reviewer.

Latest review: September 4, 2026, build 20260906-05, covering all eight calculators at widths from 320 to 1440 CSS pixels. Known issues fixed in this build: privacy-settings dialog focus now lands on the dialog heading rather than the backdrop; result cards no longer re-announce in full on every keystroke; currency fields report out-of-range values instead of silently clamping; primary controls meet a 44-pixel target height. Known remaining issues: charts are summarized in adjacent tables rather than described in prose; some third-party advertising content is outside our control.

• Text and interface contrast designed to meet Level AA minimums.
• Responsive layouts that reflow at narrow widths and support browser zoom.
• Chart values available by keyboard, pointer, touch, and adjacent data tables.
• Reduced-motion and forced-colors support.
• Currency fields that display thousands separators while retaining numeric-keyboard input.

The site contains complex financial visualizations. Equivalent annual tables are provided, but some users may prefer those tables to the charts. Google advertising or consent interfaces may introduce third-party behavior outside Retirement Lab’s direct control. Calculator results are educational estimates and should not be treated as personalized financial advice.
